Charles A. Smyly

Founder and CEO

Charles A. Smyly, Founder and CEO of BAYChester Associates, started our sister company, The Resource Group, after a varied and successful career with NCR Corporation, in 1981. Mr. Smyly served at various levels with NCR both in Retail Systems and Medical Systems in both sales and system engineering.

Baychester was originally the software engineering division of The Resource Group which was a single source provider of hospital systems with both IBM and NCR platforms throughout the U.S. The company was sold in 1990 with the Baychester division remaining with Mr. Smyly and being incorporated in 1991 as BAYChester Associates specializing in Software Engineering.

Daniel “Dax” Byrd

In 2004 Daniel “Dax” Byrd joined the BAYChester team. Mr. Byrd’s background began in the Dot Com industry where he founded and ran a successful retail website. The Systems Design and Application Development experience allowed BAYChester Associates to begin providing Network services and grow our client base for both network support and software development.

Today, BAYChester Associates provides a vast array of services for both Network and Software solutions to our clients throughout the Southeastern U.S. Software solutions have been developed for Warehouse Management, Cargo Tracking, Time Management, and event tracking while providing a full range of IT Management services and staffing options assisting our clients in managing communications; designing system solutions; developing software; and managing IT resources.

 

Our clients include physician clinics, accountants, attorneys, veterinarians, warehouses, and distribution facilities.
